Skydolls are sythethic pleasure dolls. They are capable of independent thought, but they are built essentially to be prostitutes.

Most of them are, since they are built to be brainless twits. However some do not accept their condition. The protagonist of Skydoll is Noa, a doll who has some kind of soul because she was built to host the "heart" of the previous popess Agape, who was the lover of the creator of the dolls.
